Alexian Brothers Medical Campus
NexCore Group is working with Holy Family Hospital to develop a new 100,000 square foot (SF) medical complex consisting of a 60,000 SF medical office building and 40,000 SF of hospital addition and renovations, which are connected to the existing hospital by multiple common public service areas.
The first-level of the new four-story building will be occupied by the hospital and is being designed to consolidate and re-engineer existing surgery support functions in order to improve efficiency and patient flow. These improvements will enable the existing ORs to handle an increased volume of cases, and prepare the support functions (PACU, pre and post operative care, and sterile core storage) for a potential addition of ORs in the future.
The cardiac catheterization laboratory will be completely renovated and updated, with re-configured patient flow and support area. In addition, the project includes interim pre and post-operative care area staging, incontinence center upgrades, and ambulatory center lobby reconfiguration.
To accommodate the growing need for on-campus physician lease space, the MOB will be built on top of the hospital addition and linked to hospital at the outpatient entry making it convenient for hospital patients and families to access outpatient services, including seeing their physician, at one centralized location. Physicians and staff will also be able to access the hospital through separate, non-public entrances. Three anchor tenants have signed leases for space in the new facility-Heart Clinics Northwest, Inland Vascular Institute, and Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists. Other planned tenants include internal medicine and OB/GYN, as well as specialists of general and vascular surgery, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiovascular care services, and urology.
